Although there are even more options that you can streamed from the comfort of home. Whether you’re looking to settle your mind prior to the night of New Year’s Eve, be immersed in a sequence right when the clock strikes midnight, or want to start 2024 with yoga, these classes allow you to bring closure to what was and commit to your intentions for what will be. Who knows? It may even become a New Year’s tradition.

1. Embracing Joy: New Year’s Eve Restorative Yoga Celebration

This two-hour accessible practice includes gentle movement, restorative postures, breathing exercises, and journaling. If you need to tune into and recenter yourself before heading into the new year, this is a lovely self-reflective option. The online virtual class begins at noon EST and caters to all levels of students.

2. New Year’s Eve Online Sit 2023

As has become tradition, the New York Zen Center is hosting an online Zazen meditation session. Zazen, a type of meditation, includes short periods of seated meditation followed by traditional bell ringing. This meditation session helps you reframe your thinking in time for the new year. The meditation is from 6-8:30 p.m.

3. Flow & Stretch “Intention”

Yoga and meditation teacher Travis Eliot is one of those special yoga teachers whose classes and insights we come back to year after year after year. This 90-minute practice includes a balanced lineup of power yoga flow, yin yoga stretches, breathwork, and meditation. Those familiar with Eliot’s work from YouTube and Inner Dimension TV will recognize the accompanying music as that of composer Ryan Richko. Begins at noon EST on New Year’s Day.
